Last Sunday, Team Markesman showed up in force for the force and watched the latest Star Wars installment at their local movie theatre. Fanatics and friends showed up (some in costume) for our very own private screening. This event was made available to family and friends and was completely free of charge to our members. Additionally, this event was inline with a long-standing tradition at Markesman, which is to celebrate our employees and provide opportunities for us to get together in a fun, family setting. While this might have been the last installment in the Star Wars franchise, it definitely will not be the last installment of Markesman outings. This is just another example how we, as a company, celebrate our people who help us.

Markesman Group was incredibly fortunate to celebrate their first annual holiday party at Burger Theory behind our current office location in Newport News, VA. With all the fanfare and style we brought to the party, it was hard to focus on the actual food and drink. The joy, camaraderie, laughter, sense of belonging was shared by everyone. Not to mention, there were door prizes and a little gag gift for the last person to the party. Let's see if next year if he wears the Avenger's watch to the next party? There might be a surprise waiting.. or not.
Happy Holidays to our team at ACC! For 2 years in a row, our DLA cyber team has been taken seriously at Top Golf for their photo taking skills. Just kidding, we meant their Golf Skills! If you take a close look, its their holiday sweater armor that gives them their super powers. It empowers their crafty computer hands to grab a golf club and put out a solid swing.
All in good fun, we have been thoroughly blessed for the team that has stuck with Markesman since nearly the first day. Next outing, give Dan and Alex a break on the go kart race track! The Markesman Team in Maryland got together for fellowship and to celebrate together at Toby's Dinner Theater in Columbia MD. Nearly the entire team, and several guests were able to attend, as well as Steven Latham and Alex Wang; a great time was had by all! Toby's is one of the oldest (est. 1979) and most respected theaters in the region, hosting approximately 100K patrons per year, and serves traditional American cuisine in buffet style meal before each performance. The show for our event was "A Christmas Story", based on the 1983 movie of the same title, which is regularly voted as one of the best Christmas movies of all time. The show was a musical, depicting a families Christmas story from the 1940's in Indiana composed of many scenes of hilarious situations and heartfelt artifacts of a more innocent time and life in middle America. During the meal and intermission our team enjoyed each others company and mostly discussed holiday plans and a little company business too. Before the show started, one of the actors came out to greet the audience of approximately 300 in attendance that evening; he also welcomed several folks in attendance and our MG team! |
